Bar Ilan's Community

Psychological Services Clinic

The Psychology clinic at Bar-Ilan has been providing psychological therapy services to the community since 1967. The clinic offers therapy for individuals, couples, and families, suffering from various psychological dysfunctions, among them people who suffer from trauma-related anxieties, panic attacks, and social anxiety. In addition, the clinic offers play-therapy for children. The clinic also offers psychological aid to individuals coping with loss and mourning, and individuals coping with physical disorders and disabilities in themselves or close relatives. The treatment in the clinic is based upon a variety of standard therapeutic methods.

In addition, the clinic also serves as a major resource for research and training of the faculty members and students of the Psychology Department. In this regard, the clinic organizes workshops and conventions for professional therapists, open freely to the general public. Moreover, starting this year (2009), the clinic will open an internship track (Hitmachut), for both rehabilitative and clinical psychologists.

Admission for treatment is between September and February of every year. The treatment services are given for a small monthly fee, which is updated periodically. The fee for 2008-9 is 280 NIS for an individual treatment and 320 NIS for couples or family treatment.
