Flood, 2020 Movinstalation, Mixed Media Eili Levy had created a crowded world with an overload of experiences for a single drop of water. The drop of water – source of life, hovers among bumps and challenges that metaphorically represent the stages in a person’s life. The crates in which the drop dances are two different internal worlds, pathways in the human experience. The drop is not absorbed by anything and does not shatter, thanks to a hydrophobic* coating that is based on the polymeric* nanoparticles developed in the laboratory of Prof. Shlomo Margel. The coating’s composition mimics surfaces of organic beings such as that of the Lotus plant whose leaf topography provides it with super-hydrophobic properties. 31
