As a research institute, BINA includes MSc and PhD candidates and postdoctoral fellows. We are concentrating efforts to produce tools for researchers who are members of the Institute to attract quality graduate students. The toolbox includes merit scholarships, social activities, state-of-the-art facilities, a friendly atmosphere and an institution whose name precedes it. The sheer size of the BINA learning community—now totaling 419 MSc and PhD candidates—testifies to its overall academic success. BINA’s research community continues to grow and this year even crossed the threshold of 630, reaching 634 individuals in 2022, the most since BINA’s establishment and a clear indication of BINA’s success and continuous expansion. Although it is officially a research institute, BINA offers plenty of opportunities to its undergraduate students in the form of summer scholarships that encourage outstanding undergraduate students to work in our researchers’ laboratories, exposing them to advanced research. From its inception, BINA carried the banned of excellence and promoted excellence in all of its operations. Our institute attracts outstanding graduate students who participate in studies at the forefront of their fields, thanks to research groups headed by leading PIs; the Excel@BINA scholarship, an excellence scholarship, more than a million NIS, funded by BINA; and the institute’s international connections, which enable advanced-degree candidates to participate in student exchange programs with other institutions. BINA has, on average, 320 students annually training at the master's and doctoral levels. Of these, 29% receive BINA’s sought-after Excellence Scholarship, a stipend offered in addition to the standard university scholarship. This year, for the first time, we celebrated excellence in research at an all-day workshop KLA&BINA Research Excellence Day. On this day, the students 40
