    Brenda Oded holds a Ph.D. in English Literature from Bar Ilan University where she is a senior teacher of EFL reading and writing. 

    From 1998 to 2004 Dr. Oded headed the Department of English as a Foreign Language. 

    She has published on summaries and schema activation in foreign language reading and on depth of processing in reading comprehension. 

    She is currently working on the effect of writing on reading in EFL.
