Website Accessibility
Bar-Ilan University’s main website and departmental websites have been made accessible so that people with disabilities can receive service, make effective use of the services and information offered on the websites, and browse with the same level of efficiency and enjoyment as everyone else.
On the University’s main website, as well as on the departmental websites, an accessibility icon (“Nagish BeClick”) appears at the top left-hand side of the page.
The icon enables people with disabilities to select the appropriate profile in order to use the website comfortably.
Information About Website Accessibility
A plugin by the company “Nagish BeClick” has been added to the main website and departmental websites, and the websites were made accessible at the code level during development. The websites are also adapted for mobile phones.
The websites comply with the recommendations of the Israeli Standard (IS 5568) for web content accessibility at Level AA, as well as with the recommendations of the WCAG 2.1 document issued by the W3C organization.
These websites meet the requirements of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 5773–2013.
Consulting and testing for the accessibility of the websites were carried out by A-2-Z Internet Marketing and Accessibility.
Using the Websites
