Prof. Jacob Bornstein receives prestigious appointment

Prof. Jacob Bornstein, of the Azrieli Faculty of Medicine, has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Lower Genital Tract Disease. The appointment was recently announced by ASCCP, improving lives through the prevention and treatment of anogenital and HPV-related diseases, which publishes the journal.

Prof. Bornstein has served as associate dean for academic promotion, as well as the immediate past Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Azrieli Faculty-affiliated Galilee Medical Center. He completed his medical degree at the Hadassah and Hebrew University Medical School in Jerusalem, and later completed a fellowship through the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He later went on to earn his Masters of Public Administration from Clark University in Boston, Massachusetts.

Prof. Bornstein joins the Journal of Lower Genital Tract Disease with significant editorial experience, most recently serving as Editor-in-Chief of Pelviperineology. Additionally, he brings a wealth of leadership experience to the role, having been an active member of ASCCP for over 20 years, as well as his involvement with the International Federation of Cervical Pathology and Colposcopy (IFCPC) and the International Society for the Study of Vulvovaginal Disease (ISSVD), where he served as president.
