This week, in the framework of the 68th annual meetings of its Board of Trustees, Bar-Ilan University dedicated a state-of-the-art computer science building that will serve as a home to future innovations advancing Israel's security and prosperity.
Post-secondary education (PSE) has a potential for improving the IQ of adults with mild intellectual disability (ID), according to a new Bar-Ilan University study.
The study examined the impact of PSE on students with mild ID who study in a university-based program, known as the Empowerment Project, at the Bar-Ilan University Faculty of Education.
On Monday, in the framework of its 68th annual Board of Trustees meetings, Bar-Ilan University awarded honorary doctorates to former IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. (res.) Aviv Kochavi, Atidim, artist Sigalit Landau, Rabbi Yaakov Medan, Yale University Prof. Joan Steitz, and entertainment troupe Zehu Ze! at a moving ceremony on campus.

Despite some initial concerns about venturing outside of my comfort zone and facing new challenges, I am excited to seize this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity”.
Bar-Ilan University’s Asian studies track, which has seen a significant growth in demand, has received a special grant of NIS 650,000 from the Academy of Korean Studies. This three-year grant will be utilized to promote research, distribute scholarships, and organize conferences and events in the field of Korean studies helping the program expand further.
