When you hear a siren, enter the closest shelter or protected space. At the university, you have a minute and a half.

To view a chart of the protected spaces

In a Building - enter a shelter, protected space, internal stairwell or internal room, accordingly to the time that you have, and close the doors and windows.

Outdoors - stop on the side of the road, get out of the car and enter a nearby building. If there is no building near you or if you are in an open area, lie on the ground and protect your head with your hands.

In a Car -  Stop on the side of the road, get out of the car and enter a nearby building or find cover.

If you are unable to reach a building or find cover in the allotted time, get out of the car and lie on the ground and protect your head with your hands.

If you can't get out of your car, stop on the side of the road and wait 10 minutes.
