Arnon Zait

Arnon Zait, CPA, was appointed Chief Financial Officer at Bar-Ilan University in 2020. He holds an MBA with a specialization in finance from the Hebrew University and a bachelor’s degree in economics and accounting from Bar-Ilan University. He previously served in a variety of positions in the banking sector,

including CFO of the Union Bank and as Deputy CEO of the Bank of Jerusalem. Bar-Ilan’s Finance Department is entrusted with the university’s budgetary management, with long-term planning and broad strategic vision of the university’s goals in the face of its existing resources, including managing closed budgets for special projects. In addition, the department is responsible for the entire financial management system of the university, from managing current and special revenues, both from students and the state, to the day-to-day management of monies and the investment portfolio, to the financing of various projects and making payments to service providers and other parties.

The Finance Department is also responsible for all the accounting records, preparation of financial statements, handling tax issues with the tax authorities and implementing the various financial settlements within the university and without. The department considers it very important to maintain both a high level of professionalism and a high level of service.
