The Scholarship for the next academic year is intended for Doctoral students in the Sciences who fulfil the following criteria:
Students who have begun their doctoral studies not more than one and a half years before the deadline date for the submission of the application, i.e. no earlier than 27.7.2024. Such exceptions will be considered individually. In addition, please note that flexibility of application criteria will be permitted in consideration of the current situation, so that a candidate who is unable to apply this year as a result of the war will be allowed to apply next year. Requests for postponement should be submitted by the academic institution to the Programme Coordinator via email. Students must have at least two years of their doctoral studies to complete.
Students who have submitted, or are in the process of submitting, their doctoral proposal (including students whose proposal submission date has been postponed as a result of the current situation), even if the proposal is not yet approved. In this case, the submitting institution is obliged to notify the programme coordinator immediately upon receipt of approval of the doctoral proposal. The awarding of the scholarship is dependent on this approval.
It is possible to submit candidates on a Direct to PhD programme who have commenced their Doctorate at a date that is in accordance with the University regulations for that programme, but only on condition that their doctoral proposal is in the process of being submitted (see note ii above).
